Huchen

Huchen go by several names and are known as Danube Taimen as well as Hucho. They are endangered and numbers have been decreasing for several years. They used to be in several rivers in Europe but are now restricted to the Danube drainage. They are the largest trout in Europe with the record fish 138 pounds caught in 1938. The best fishing seems to be in Danube tributaries.
